Kate Moss baffles fans as she stumbles over her words during gushing speech at awards

Kate Moss excitedly stumbled over her words as she presented an award to a pal in New York.

Footage shared on social media shows Kate appearing to forget her words and rely on her phone to help her through her speech as she took to the podium at Museum of Modern Art last week.

The iconic model, 48, looked her usual stylish self as she handed the Fashion Innovator gong to her friend Anthony Vaccarello at the Wall Street Journal event on Wednesday night [November 2].

Kate - who recently launched her own wellbeing brand - slurred at times during the sweet speech about the Yves Saint Laurent artistic director while dressed in a striking green hooded ensemble.

The mum-of-one began her address to the star-studded audience saying "good evening ladies and gentlemen" before seemingly forgetting her words and pausing to turn to her phone in order to get back on track.

"I am honoured to be part of his Saint Laurent family and to be his friend," Kate gushed during her short and sweet introduction to Anthony's arrival on stage.

WSJ. Magazine shared the snippet to their 418,000 followers on Instagram over the weekend and the post dedicated to the "one and only Kate Moss" has racked up over 6,000 'likes' but comments have been disabled by the publisher.

Fans of the supermodel gathered in the comments underneath an additional post by WSJ. Magazine to discuss Kate's speech, as the former party girl could be seen posing alongside Hailey Bieber in a snap taken during the glamourous evening last week.

Kate - who has been sober for four years - proved she's still one of the world's leading fashion figures at the prestigious event in New York, as she left little to the imagination in a sexy sheer hooded olive dress.

The fashion icon flashed her midriff thanks to a triangle cut-out across the middle of the gown, and the star's black briefs could be seen thanks to the dress' saucy sheer material.

Kate recently reflected on her former lifestyle as she revealed her new wellness business and explained how much things have changed these days.

The British star, once famed for her love of partying and wild nights out, now enjoys picking flowers in her garden and focusing on self-love.

"That makes me happy. I think I’m the happiest I’ve ever been," Kate declared as she launched Cosmoss to the world.

Writing on her website last month, the star mused: "I believe everybody would benefit from mindfulness and taking time to look at the view, see the flowers and see love and beauty.

"I think that’s really important to take a moment."

Former Notting Hill resident Kate, who now lives in the Cotswolds, describes her latest business venture as "self-care created for life's modern journeys".

Cosmoss is currently selling a range on products, including 20 teabags retailing at £20, on its website and has a section dubbed 'Kate's Corner' where the model shares her thoughts and musings online.
