Today is the Duchess of Cambridge's birthday - and this year it is very special one.
Our future Queen has hit the milestone age of 40 - and no doubt she will be celebrating all day with her family and friends.
But despite the landmark birthday, Kate is missing out on a special honour usually afforded to members of the Royal Family when they turn another year older.
Today, there will be no ringing of the bells at Westminster Abbey, which usually chime on royal birthdays.
It had been tradition for senior royals to hear the bells ringing at the Abbey on their birthdays with Kate and Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall included among them.

But they were stopped in April 2020 due to Covid and changes were made when they restarted in September 2021.
No longer will the bells be rung for the birthdays of Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, or the Duchess of Cornwall and it is the same for the Cambridges and their children, reports Hello magazine.
In future, they will only be heard for the Queen and Prince Charles.

It's unclear exactly how Kate is spending her big day today - although it's said that any celebrations will be low-key.
However, there's no doubt that husband Prince William and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will be showering her with lovely presents.

But it seems William wasn't always so good at picking the perfect gifts for his wife, and he once admitted getting her an awful present that Kate has "never let him forget".
William revealed the bizarre present during an appearance on former England striker Peter Crouch’s podcast on BBC Radio Five Live.
In a discussion about gifts, Crouch confessed to buying his model wife Abbey Clancy a raincoat three years running for her birthday.
And William added: "I did get my wife a pair of binoculars once - she's never let me forget that.
"That was early on in the courtship that was - think that sealed the deal.
"It didn't go well. Honestly, I have no idea why I bought her a pair of binoculars, it seemed like a good idea at the time."
