Kate Middleton stuns in ethereal one-shouldered gown at the 2019 BAFTA awards

Kate Middleton arrived at the British Academy Film Awards on Sunday looking every bit the 21st century Duchess in an ethereal one-shouldered white gown.

She accessorised the dress, which featured a gathered waist and white floral appliqué detail on the left shoulder, with a pair of glittery pointy toe 'Romy' pumps from Jimmy Choo.

Her only jewellery was a beautiful pair of diamond and pearl drop earrings that once belonged to her mother-in-law Princess Diana.

Kate deftly offset the femininity of her outfit with a bold smokey eye and a tousled chignon up-do.

She was joined on the red carpet by her husband William, Duke of Cambridge, who is the president of the British Academy Film Awards.

The father-of-three was there to present the Academy's highest accolade, the Fellowship.

Joanna Lumley, who herself won the Fellowship two years ago and has won two BAFTA TV gongs, hosted the star-studded ceremony.

Kate’s choice of gown marks a change from the forest green gown by Jenny Packham she opted to wear to the event last year.

Heavily pregnant with her third child, Prince Louis, at the time, Kate’s choice of dress last year caused a stir, as most of the other women in attendance wore black as part of the Time’s Up protest movement.
