Kate Middleton says her three children sometimes ask her to put her camera down and stop taking photos of them.
She made the confession during a phone call with a lucky finalist in her Hold Still photography contest.
Kate was talking to Poppy Edwards and her mother Ceri in a phone call celebrating her entry in the competition close to her heart.
Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louis, three, often plead with her to turn the camera off.
She said they will request: "Mummy, please stop taking photographs."
The phone call was published on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's YouTube channel earlier today - and Kate admits the royal children can quickly loose patience when being snapped by her.
Asked by Kate if she was a photographer, Ceri said, "No. Well, Mark would say otherwise just because I do take a lot of pictures of the family."
Kate smiled and then replied: "It's like me. Everyone's like: “Mummy, please stop taking photographs!"
Ceri told her: "I know, but I love it. I love looking back. I think when you have children, time seems to go into warp speed, really, and it's just a lovely thing for me.
"You look back and see how much the children have grown."
Kate went on to say Ceri's image really stood out.
She said it showcased 'strength, courage and resilience' as well as the 'tenderness and importance' of families.
The Duchess said: "It's such a sensitive and tender moment between a father and a daughter.
"These simple moments have impacted so many and really resonated with so many across the country so thank you for sharing your photograph and your story."
The Duchess of Cambridge earlier joined other members of the royal family in sharing poignant messages and photos on social media to mark what should have been Prince Philip's 100th birthday.
The Duke of Edinburgh would have marked his centenary today, but instead his beloved wife the Queen is spending the day in Windsor without her "strength and stay".
Kate and William took to Instagram to share photos of her accepting the rose and admiring the beautiful flowers in the sunshine.
They wrote: "Remembering His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, on what would have been his 100th birthday.
"Last week, The Queen was gifted a Duke of Edinburgh rose by @the_rhs, of which Her Majesty is Patron.
"Named in The Duke's memory, the rose is planted in the East Terrace Garden, Windsor Castle."
