Enraged Kate Middleton has claimed victory after high society and lifestyle magazine Tatler removed a number of digs at her family.
They were accused of publishing a 'string of cruel lies' about Kate's mother Carole Middleton, who was likened to snooty TV character Hyacinth Bucket, and her sister Pippa.
Tatler suggested the pair are 'snobby' before Kensington Palace called in their lawyers.
Comparisons of 'perilously thin' Kate to Princess Diana also infuriated the family.
They demanded the 'inaccuracies and false representations' be removed - and the publisher buckled.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 38, was also said to be upset at suggestions she felt "exhausted and trapped" following Harry and Meghan's decision to take a step back from royal life.
Now Tatler has cut a huge chunk from its online profile Kate.
Its publisher Condé Nast admitted defeat to protect its 'long-standing relationship with the Royal Family'.
Before the removal, a Royal source told the MailOnSunday of the Cambridge's fury.
They said it was "an extremely cruel and wounding barb" before adding: "It's disgusting. It's sexist and woman-shaming at its very worst."
The source continued: "The piece is full of lies. There is no truth to their claim that the Duchess feels overwhelmed with work, nor that the Duke is obsessed with Carole Middleton. It's preposterous.
"The whole thing is class snobbery. Tatler may think it's immune from action as it's read by the Royals and on every coffee table in every smart home.
"But it makes no difference. It's ironic that the Royals' favourite magazine is now being trashed by them."
It was suggested that Kate is "furious" at the increased workload caused by Harry and Meghan's exit - and that she feels "exhausted and trapped".
It was later claimed her mother Carole "puts people's backs up" and has "Hyacinth Bucket aspirations of grandeur".
Another extract read that she was "exceedingly demanding, fussy and questioned everything" while it went on to allege "Carole is a terrible snob".
Tatler added: "Pippa now speaks like the Queen and is absolutely paranoid about the paparazzi".
Meanwhile, in other royal news Prince William failed to join an online birthday call for his brother Harry.
He turned 36 last week and the virtual celebration was organised by Prince Charles and the Queen.
Bur Wills and wife Kate were absent - sparking fears they are still feuding.
A source said: “William sent his birthday best wishes. There was some excuse made about why he wasn’t there.”
