Children are notorious for often asking inappropriate questions - even to members of the Royal Family.
The Princess of Wales found herself up against one this week as a group of schoolkids asked her a very forward question to which she gave them a sweet six-word reply.
Kate paid a visit to the opening of the young V&S Museum in London on Wednesday and was innocently asked by one of the youngsters how old she is.
The schoolgirl asked the question as Kate chatted with the new attraction's young tour guides and the royal gave the child a hilarious reply, the Mirror reports.
A clip of the sweet moment during her official visit shows the mum-of-three responding by putting a finger to her mouth and saying: "I'm 41. Shh... don't tell anyone."
The schoolkids had been giving the Princess gift bags to take home to her own three children George, Charlotte and Louis when the heart-warming interaction took place.
During her visit, the royal was also seen asking the youngsters her own questions about their ambitions and creative inventions and even got stuck in with a submarine they were building which she mimicked herself being buckled into.
The 41-year-old joined in on their fun as she asked "do I strap myself in?" while playfully pretending to put on her imaginary seatbelt.
She said: "Does it sit on the bottom of the sea floor? Wow, that’s great."
Kate got round all the children as she quizzed them on their inventions, asking what they were for and what inspired them.
The Princess took her time walking round the children's museum as she paused to admire a tiny white Microlino car suspended from the ceiling in the atrium before moving on to marvel over the best collection of historic dolls houses in the world.
While listening to the children's stories, Kate exchanged some of her own kid's tales in return as she told the youngsters how much her eldest son Prince George loves telling stories of his own.
In one adorable moment, she said: "They tell me stories all the time. George was brushing his teeth and suddenly his tooth fell out."
During Wednesday's visit, Kate opted to wear an elegant pastel pink dress and was seen chatting with the Victoria & Albert Museum's director, former Labour MP Tristram Hunt.
She told Mr Hunt: "This is so inspiring, to have a place for children so young to get design inspiration."
The museum reopens to the public this weekend for the first time in three years following a £13m investment.
Kate, who is an art history graduate, has been a patron for the V&A since 2018.
