Kate Middleton's fashion for Bradford royal visit - including Alexander McQueen and Zara

Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Bradford to huge cheers from crowds packed into the city centre's Centenary Square.

The royal couple were in West Yorkshire to visit causes across the city that support community cohesion.

Fans of Catherine, who celebrated her 38th birthday last week,  were keen to see what the Duchess was wearing for her visit up north.

Kate wore a long, military style khaki coat by British designer Alexander McQueen - an elegant yet practical choice for the chilly January weather.

Underneath the coat, Kate wore a black and white tartan pattern pussybow dress from high street retailer Zara, which she paired with black pointed court style heels, a small black bag and gold drop earrings by Zeen.

The Pakistani jewellery designer was favoured by the duchess during their royal visit to Pakistan in October.

The visit to Bradford was William and Kate's first official royal engagement of the decade.

Hundreds of well-wishers who turned out to catch a glimpse of the royal couple erupted into cheers as the duke and duchess left the 19th-century City Hall in Centenary Square.
