A clutch bag from an independent designer in Edinburgh sold out within hours of Kate Middleton donning the piece during the royal visit to Scotland.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at Edinburgh Waverley station on Monday as part of a three-day tour across the UK to thank frontline workers for their efforts during the pandemic.
In a nod to the city she was visiting, Kate opted for a black embossed 'Multree Chain Wallet' made by local designer Strathberry, who say they were "incredibly thrilled" that she put their brand in the spotlight.
The royal, 38, proved the Kate Middleton effect is still in full force after the croc bag, priced at £255, flew off the shelves within hours of her visit to Scotland's capital.

A spokesperson for the upmarket brand told Edinburgh Live that they had a surge of customers to the website, as bag-lovers scrambled to get their hands on Kate's stylish accessory.

Strathberry is an Edinburgh-based brand founded in 2013 by husband and wife team, Guy and Leeanne Hundleby.
The label was also a favourite of Meghan Markle's, 39, during her time in the royal family.
The couple specialise in luxury leather goods, which are handcrafted in Spain using only the finest quality Spanish leathers, and can take up to 20 hours to make.
While the the Multrees Wallet has now sold out online, it is available for pre-order from the website, costing £255.
