Kate Middleton's cheeky tweet after Camila Cabello admits stealing pencil from Kensington Palace

A visit to Kenginston Palace to meet members of the Royal Family is a very, very special occasion for anyone - even if you're a massive popstar.

So unsurprisingly, Camila Cabello was excited for her trip to meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge ahead of the Teen Hero Awards - but she almost got into a bit of trouble.

After being dared by Radio 1 host Greg James, the Havana singer stole a pencil from the palace as a reminder of the day and hid it in her mum's handbag.

Greg then told Palace staff what she had done, but she someone managed to keep her new piece stationary.

The pair told the story on the breakfast show this morning, and Camila apologised to both Prince William and Kate.

And it appears the royal couple heard the show or were told about it, as they replied to the Twitter video with a very cheeky message.

Replying to all three of their accounts, the couple shared the eyes emoji. There was no caption, just the single emoji.

Busted!

Speaking on the show, Greg revealed that Camila had asked him never to tell the story.

He said: "Last time I saw you we were at the Palace", to which she begs: "Don't tell anyone what my mother and I did".

Ignore her request, Greg goes on: "I haven't mentioned this story at all because you told me not to. We're in Kensington Palace for the Teen Hero Awards. We were about to meet William and Kate, and I said 'you've got to steal something, steal that pencil'."

Camila than replies: "I was like you triple doggy dare me?" Which Gregs admits to doing.

The popstar goes on: "You can't not do a triple doggy dare. If there's anything I've learnt in my life it's that, so I did it.

Greg dropped her right in it (Twitter)

"And then you, to one of the Palace people, called me out on it and you were like 'she stole a pencil', and I was like oh my God.

"And I put it in my mum's purse and my mum was like 'no we have to give it back, we have to give back the pencil'.

"And I was like no, he triple doggy dared me I have to take the pencil so I still have it.

"So I'm sorry William and I'm sorry Kate."
