Kate Middleton's boat shoes are an old favourite and cost just £65

Between state banquets and public appearances, Kate Middleton has worn some pretty enviable footwear. From Prada to Jimmy Choo, she’s never without a killer pair heels (or wedges) - but what does she wear when they're not quite right for the occasion?

There's one single pair of flat shoes the Duchess has worn to death over the years - particularly when she's travelling.

The footwear in question comes from Sebago, a New England brand dating back to 1946.

Although they’re no longer sold on Sebago’s official website, the same style is still available through Country Attire for around £65.

Sebago say their shoes are renowned for their “handsewn genuine moc construction, slip-resistant rubber sole, and non-corrosive brass eyelets”. According to Country Attire, Kate’s are made from suede and leather.

She’s been seen wearing the shoes as far back as 2011, when she used them for their original purpose: joining a team of Canadian rowers on their dragon boat while on tour with her new husband Will.

She also later wore them when she raced her husband in a yacht in Auckland Harbour in 2014.

The Duchess also wore the shoes to visit Britain's boating team ahead of their race in the 2015 America’s Cup.

There’s a time and place for a pair of Stuart Weitzmanns and sadly, an Indian safari isn’t one of them. Kate’s Sebagos served her well in 2016 when she went on safari with her husband at Kaziranga National Park in India.

And finally, on her days off she’s been known to break these out of the shoe closet, including the time she took George to a charity polo match in 2015.
