Kate Middleton 'really upset' about feud with Harry and Meghan Markle, says insider

The Duchess of Cambridge has been left "really, really upset" about the estrangement from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, an insider has claimed.

A rift between Harry and his brother Prince William has seemingly widened in recent years with their frosty relationship reportedly sparked by William's concerns over Harry's fast-developing relationship with Meghan.

The tense row quickly boiled over - with Harry claiming his brother was "trapped" within the royal system during a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey after quitting as a senior royal.

In that same interview, Meghan also claimed one member of the family had asked questions about the colour of their son Archie's skin.

Since leaving the UK in early 2020, Harry has only seen his brother twice - at the funeral of Prince Philip and at an unveiling of a statue of their late mother Princess Diana.

And now, an insider has told PEOPLE magazine that the feud has left Kate "really, really upset about it all" but both she and William are supporting each other.

The friend also told the publication: "Everything with Harry and Meghan has been hugely stressful, but if anything, it's pulled [her and William] closer together. She was upset about it because [William] was so upset. Seeing her husband so distraught was tough."

However, they added: "She's no pushover. She has an inner strength for sure."

William and Kate and Harry and Meghan are unlikely to be spending Christmas together this year - with the Cambridges expected at Sandringham and the Sussexes thought to be staying in California.

The Cambridges are yet to meet their niece Lilibet, who was born in June, in person.

However, when OK! magazine asked royal expert and author Katie Nicholl if William and Kate would be buying Christmas gifts to send to America for Archie and Lilibet, she said: "Yes, of course.

"They give gifts to the whole family and that includes all of their nieces and nephews."

This means also buying presents for Kate's sister Pippa's children - three-year-old Arthur and eight-month-old Grace.
