Kate Middleton, Prince William and the Queen all smiles at Chelsea Flower Show

Kate Middleton , Prince William and the Queen were all smiles during a visit to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this evening.

Pictures from the Royal Hospital Gardens showed the Duchess of Cambridge wearing a long floral Erdem frock as she was accompanied by her husband Prince William.

The Queen, wearing a lime green coat with white gloves, was greeted by the President of the Royal Horticultural Society, Sir Nicholas Bacon, as she arrived at the Embankment Garden Entrance.

The royals will be whisked around on a tour of the show, including a look at The RHS Back to Nature Garden which was co-designed by the Duchess.

Mother-of-three Kate beamed with a large grin as she met her grandmother-in-law for a quick tour of the space, which was given the royal seal of approval.

They will also visit the Greenfingers Charity garden, a fun, interactive and uplifting space where seriously ill children.

Earlier today, Kate looked relaxed and casual as she dressed down and wore a white shirt, camel-coloured wide leg trousers.

It came just a day after her own children enjoyed a playful trip to the Back To Nature Garden in heartwarming pictures and video Kate Middleton beams at sweet surprise during George, Charlotte and Louis's garden trip.

Older siblings Prince George, five, and Princess Charlotte, four, were seen dangling their bare feet over a stream of water as the family look happy.

In one clip, a grinning Louis, who celebrated his first birthday in April, toddles along with a branch in his hand as dad Prince William smiles and keeps a close watch over him.

Kate's garden aims to highlight the benefits the natural world brings to mental and physical well-being.

The space, which Kate hopes will inspire families "to get outside" and "enjoy nature", features a tree house, swing seat, waterfall, rustic den and a campfire as well as tree stumps, stepping stones and a hollow log for children to play on.
