Kate Middleton appeared to pay tribute to the Queen and Princess Diana at Sunday's Remembrance Day service with her choice of hat, an expert says.
On Saturday she attended the Royal British Legion's annual Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall before watching the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in Central London on Sunday morning.
At both events, she paid a subtle tribute to her late mother-in-law Diana by wearing some of her jewellery.
On Saturday night, she wore Diana's Collingwood pearl earrings that were given to the late princess as a wedding gift in 1981.
She also wore Diana's three-strand pearl bracelet, which the late princess acquired in 1988. Kate had previously worn the bracelet during a tour of Germany in 2017.

And on Sunday, she again wore the Collingwood pearl earrings along with an Alexander McQueen coat that had poppies pinned to it.
But it was the choice of hat that drew comparisons to a similar outfit worn by Princess Diana at a previous event, as well as possible similarities to the Queen.
People reports that the hat was speculated by Elizabeth Holmes, author of HRH: So Many Thoughts on Royal Style , to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth, whose wide-brimmed hats are a staple of her wardrobe.
Kate looked solemn as she stood in the middle with Camilla and Sophie at her sides on a balcony of the Foreign Office while Prince Charles, Prince William, Princess Anne and Prince Edward were below as they laid wreaths at the Cenotaph.
However, missing from the balcony was the Queen, who had sprained her back and was unable to attend the Remembrance Sunday service. In previous years, the Queen had stood on the balcony at the centre of Kate and Camilla.
Buckingham Palace had said Her Majesty was "disappointed" to miss the event held annually at the Cenotaph on Whitehall.
