Kate Middleton gives 'sneak peek' into royal lockdown with new photos of Prince Louis

The Duchess of Cambridge has given us a sneak peek into how her family are spending the coronavirus lockdown in a new photo of Prince Louis.

Kate shared four new pictures of her son, which she took herself, to celebrate his second birthday.

The adorable snaps were taken last month, which means they were captured while Kate, William, George, Charlotte and Louis were following the social distancing guidelines.

The adorable snaps show the royal tot doing some hand painting - using all the colours of the rainbow in a sweet tribute to the NHS.

He's sitting outside to do his arty activity, and based on the smile on his face he seems to be loving every second.

He's been dressed in a smart blue and white shirt, but he's already got some of the colourful paint down his front - oops!

Kate has said that they've been keeping very busy with lots of fun activities for the children throughout the day.

Speaking to the BBC last week, she said: "Children have got such stamina. I don't know how, honestly. You get to the end of the day and you write a list of all the things you've done in that day.

"You've pitched a tent, take the tent down again, cook, bake, you get to the end of the day and they've had a lovely time.

"It's amazing how much you can cram into one day, that's for sure."

Kate and William have been homeschooling their two older children George and Charlotte, with the duke saying it's a "lot of fun" but his wife admitting it can be challenging.

The children's school Thomas's Battersea moved over to online learning as soon as it closed its doors due to the deadly virus.

Kate has also admitted that they carried on their school routine during the Easter holidays.

She said: "Don't tell the children, we've actually kept it going through the holidays. I feel very mean."
