Kate Middleton beams as she meets kind-hearted volunteers who work around the clock to support young people in crisis.
The Duchess and husband William are today attending Shout’s Crisis Volunteer celebration event, being held at Troubadour White City Theatre in west London.
Shout is a £3million 24/7 text support service which was researched and developed by The Royal Foundation as a legacy of the Heads Together Campaign.
The event has brought together people who give up their time to do voluntary shifts from their homes.
Kate is wearing a Smythe checked blazer with a smart pair of cropped burgundy trousers which were teamed with block-heeled shoes from Tod's.
She used a pair of elegant earrings from Mappin and Webb to finish off her smart outfit.
The 85258 text service was officially launched by William, Kate and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in May this year.
Since it went live volunteers have had 145,000 conversations via text with people in crisis and exchanged 6 million messages.
William and Kate heard that 75 per cent of people who contact Shout are under 25, and that the most frequent issues are suicide, depression, relationships, anxiety, isolation and self-harm.
In addition to meeting the volunteers the Duke and Duchess will watch special performance before taking part in a photo call as part of an awareness campaign for Shout.
