Kate Lawler admits she can't wait for daughter Noa to grow up in searingly honest post

Kate Lawler has admitted she can’t wait for daughter Noa to grow up as she shared a searingly honest post about being a mum.

The former Big Brother winner and fiancé Martin ‘Boj’ Bojtos welcomed their first child in February, but the newborn suffered from health issues in the first few weeks of her life.

It meant Kate and her daughter spent a lot of time in hospital as the tot recovered.

The 41-year-old regularly updates her Instagram followers with videos and photos of her firstborn, and shares honest posts about being mum to Noa, who she affectionately nicknames Tayto.

On Wednesday, she documented her and Boj’s trip to Manchester over the weekend to see friends, admitting it was one of the most stressful experiences of her life.

Kate the confessed she hates "some of the day-to-day slog of parenting".

Posting cute pictures of her with Noa on the train, Kate said she made an error booking just two seats to Manchester, as it left them with little space, especially as they were also travelling with their dogs, Baxter and Shirley.

The train carriage, which was "hotter than the seventh circle of hell", prevented Noa from napping, which ultimately led to a cranky baby.

"She screamed and cried until I gave up trying and then caused mischief for all but the last leg of the ride, when we spotted a table that had become available and swiftly moved all our things over. Only then was she calm," she explained.

Kate enjoyed their weekend in Manchester seeing friends but they were so exhausted from the busy weekend - and chaotic journey - that they won’t be leaving London again anytime soon.

"I’m trying hard to do all the things I see other new parents doing but in this instance, I just felt stressed and tired most of the trip," Kate wrote, adding that while she tried to relax, she "just found it hard".

"And I know I’ll get hate for this but I’m just being honest," she continued.

"So many Mums say ‘don’t wish away these early days’ and ‘if you think THIS bit’s hard just wait til they’re a toddler’.

"But I actually can’t wait until she’s old enough to talk, walk on to a train, eat a sandwich, read a book or magazine and wipe her own bum," Kate confessed.

The TV star and Virgin Radio DJ said she wanted to send love to other mums who weren’t "enjoying the first year of motherhood as much as other new parents".

"If you’re on the same page, I see you. It doesn’t mean we don’t love our kids any less it just means we’re human," she wrote.

She told her fellow mums who were struggling to "give it time", and ended her lengthy post with some sound advice.

"We’re allowed to love our little ones to the moon and back but simultaneously hate some of the day-to-day slog of parenting," Kate concluded.
