Kate Garraway screeches 'how rude' as Good Morning Britain co-star makes brutal Carol Vorderman dig

Kate Garraway was left taken aback as her Good Morning Britain co-star made an unexpected dig at Carol Vorderman. The presenter was at the helm of the ITV news programme on Thursday (May 4) alongside Ben Shephard when they were joined as usual by Richard Arnold.

The entertainment reporter was on hand with his latest entertainment segment which included news of a rumoured new romance for Taylor Swift and The 1975's Matt Healey and all the latest from the South African bush where the spin-off of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here was filmed.

On the subject of the latter, Richard was discussing how after the arrival of Joe Swash and Dean Gaffney, the camp had been split into two 'prides' and are being pitted against each other in a series of challenges.

They spoke about how, in a bid to prevent the opposing team from being competitive, Helen Flanagan was seen instructing her fellow teammates to lie about how nice the treats they received were. Richard then introduced a clip of Carol commenting on the deception during her latest Instagram live after Wednesday night's (May 3) episode of I'm A Celeb.

The former Countdown star said: "Helen, innocent meerkat, satanic meerkat angel, 'Let's tell them that it wasn't so nice so they won't be so competitive.' Genius, evil genius. Helen is very naughty to play it down and she's the best at fibbing, she's got these big wide innocent eyes."

Richard made the cheeky quip during his latest entertainment report (ITV)

The cameras then cut back to the studio and commenting on the video, Richard remarked: "Carol clearly did her own make up," as Ben and Kate both gasped before Kate interjected: "How rude!"

But Richard was quick to clarify that he was only teasing and had recently gone for lunch with his good friend Carol. The GMB entertainment editor went on to praise Carol for having the "best laugh" before joking she should be "front row in the Loose Women audience" because of her giggle.
