Kate Garraway scolds Ben Shephard for going 'too far' with pubic hair comment on GMB

Kate Garraway was left scolding her Good Morning Britain co-host Ben Shephard on the show on Friday morning, after he made a pretty gross comment.

The pair were discussing the New Year traditions and challenges people were taking on.

With things like Veganuary taking over this January, Kate went on to confess her and Ben were taking part in Dry January.

She then admitted there was another challenge some people were taking part in called Januhairy - where the person doesn't shave or cut a single hair on their body for the entire month.

In a nod to this, Kate proceeded to wear a ginger long beard and moustache for the next segment.

She claimed it was her natural hair colour, after years of dying her locks.

But it's when they discussed new vegan pasties launched, with Greggs' revealing their new meat-free steak bake just in time for January, that things took an unfortunate turn.

Kate encouraged Ben to try some of the food she had started on, with him then commenting on her pubic hair, leaving her stunned.

She said: "Have a little bite, I mean, be honest..."

Ben crudely responded: "Well if I'm gonna have to share your pubic hair I might as well share your steak beak."

A shocked Kate told him off, claiming he had taken the chat too far.

After gasping and raising her arms in the air, she said: "Stop it! No one said that."

"You just went that little bit too far," she added before admitting the bake was "delicious".

Neither Charlotte Hawkins or Myles Stephenson, sat beside Kate and Ben, even reacted to the comment - while viewers also appeared to be unbothered.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
