Kate Garraway says she's 'jealous' of Ranvir Singh as she debuts new look amid ITV Good Morning Britain shake-up

Kate Garraway confessed to being jealous of her ITV co-star Ranvir Singh as both Good Morning Britain and Lorraine underwent a shake-up. The presenter was back at the helm of GMB on Monday (April 3) alongside Richard Madeley.

Kate isn't usually seen on the show until later in the week but has stepped in to replace Susanna Reid as she enjoys her Easter break. And that wasn't the only change as Lorraine Kelly was also missing from her self-titled show.

Instead, Ranvir Singh has stepped in and appeared on GMB before her stint in Lorraine's stint began for the usual crossover between the two shows.

But after Ranvir teased what was to come on the hour-long ITV show, which airs weekdays from 9am in between GMB and This Morning, Kate couldn't help but mention her co-star's changed look.

Ranvir, 45, debuted her new locks after adding a choppy fringe into her dark tresses which sit just below her shoulders. "Can I just have a brief moment to talk fringe?" Kate asked as Ranvir posed and accentuated her changed locks.

"I love it, I'm jealous of it, I want to know your hairdresser and I want it for me," Kate added as Ranvir laughed. "It's slightly quicker for the hairdresser... I had so much hair before now it's a quicker do," Ranvir said.

"Thank you for mentioning that," she added as Kate replied: "You look fab," before moving on with the show.

Ranvir's appearance on Lorraine comes after she clapped back at comments made about her age-gap relationship with her boyfriend. The broadcaster is currently dating Louis Church, 27, whom she first met while taking part in the 2020 series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The mum-of-one was competing in the BBC One dance contest with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice whilst Louis was a producer on the show. The pair confirmed their relationship last Christmas after many public appearances together but have faced some criticism due to their 18-year age gap.

Speaking in an interview with lifestyle magazine Woman and Home, Ranvir appeared to respond as she said: "I don’t see an age gap. What really matters in any kind of relationship in life is a synchronicity of values and emotions. I don’t know why we’re so obsessed with the age gap.

“As we are, right now, we are blissfully happy and Louis lives very much in the present." She added that she knew “Louis was special” from the first time that they met on the set of Strictly, recalling when he offered her a drink, and she was too tired to respond.

"I was doing three jobs and I’ve never been more tired. I was slumped in my chair at 7am," she said. "15 minutes later, he came back with a green tea, a Berocca, Haribos and a KitKat… I thought, 'That is exactly what I want.' From that moment, he has instinctively known exactly what I need."
