Kate Garraway says Queen is 'alone and feels pain of grief' at Philip's funeral

Kate Garraway remarked upon the Queen being "so alone" and feels "pain of grief" at Philip's funeral.

The Good Morning Britain presenter joined the stars in sharing her sympathy for Her Majesty while the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral played out on TV on Saturday.

In a deeply personal message, Kate said her "heart breaks" for the Queen as she mourned for her late husband Philip.

She wrote: "So alone - my heart breaks for her and so so many others who have lost loved ones this year.

"Just shows who ever you are the pain of grief and the loneliness it brings. #heartbreaking."

Their home has been completely transformed to help facilitate the round-the-clock care he needs.

Kate said of the changes: "'At the moment what we're doing, we've got an occupational therapist that deals with the lay out of the home, looking at putting in a wet room - basically, ground floor living.

"He'll either be on a stretcher or a wheelchair. And also they're trying to figure out how to put a lift in the garden."
