Kate Garraway missed Good Morning Britain after sleeping in and fears she'll be sacked

On what was meant to be her first day back at work after her stint on I'm A Celebrity, Kate Garraway slept in and missed her big return to work on Good Morning Britain.

Long-standing breakfast TV host Kate finished fourth in the jungle and nearly two weeks after time Down Under came to an end she was due back on GMB early on Thursday morning.

However, Kate's return to her day job did not go to plan at all as she missed it completely!

The Mirror reports that today's GMB hosts managed to get apologetic Kate on a video call - with the presenter admitting she feared she would get the sack.

Good Morning Britain's  Twitter  account has jokingly put out a poll, posing fans with the question: "Should @kategarraway be fired for sleeping in late and missing the show? #GMB."

Speaking on the video call, a panic-stricken Kate said "Speaking on a video call, Kate explained: "I fell asleep and the next thing I knew it was like 20 years ago. I haven't done this in 20 years.

"When we were in the jungle, you know Adele Roberts who does the early show on Radio 1. I was so smug saying I'd never overslept and missed the show.

"I wake up so early it's still only like 2015 and I've done it now. I'm going to get fired."
