Kate Garraway melts hearts with son Billy in fun home video as he tries to avoid homeschooling

Kate Garraway has melted fans hearts with son Billy in her latest Instagram post.

The Good Morning Britain star shared a video, recorded by her 11-year-old son, as he tried to avoid homseschooling.

Kate, 53, is currently juggling work on the ITV new programme and her Smooth Radio show with looking after Billy and teenage daughter Darcy while husband Derek Draper remains in hospital.

Fans expressed their concern last week when the presenter had missed two weeks of GMB but she returned on Thursday (Feb 11).

Kate explained she took annual leave after 'feeling unwell' and needed time to recoup at home.

So her latest post to her thousands of followers cheered them all up.

Billy is first on screen as he talks to the camera. He says: "Today I'm going to be climbing on this, don't tell anyone but I'm supposed to be online schooling but I'm watching TV."

Kate's can then be heard out of shot, asking: "Bill, are you actually doing any work?"

Her youngest replies: "Yes", but unconvinced she asks: "Are you sure?" before walking in and catching him red-handed.

Kate gasps: "You're not!" before throwing balls at him, with Billy screeching: "What the hell!"

He then grabs a lightsaber and chases his mum out of the room as she squeals and they both ran out of shot.

Kate captioned the fun clip: "Where have you got to with home schooling in your house ? This is where we are! Think it was me that learnt a lesson here - don’t mess with an 11 yr old with a light sabre!!!

"So glad it's #friday tomorrow join us on @gmb from 6 for all the latest #covid news, #love in #lockdown with @joeyessex AND a debate on #burntout parents!"

Celeb pals and fans flooded the post with comments.

"Lovely to see you both laughing..," wrote one.

Another said: "love this, nice to see you all smiling Kate."

"I applaud you for ensuring smiles in dark days," a third added.

A fourth commented: "Well done mum. Perfect."
