Kate Garraway hints Good Morning Britain star will sign up for I'm A Celebrity in 2020

Kate Garraway has teased that a Good Morning Britain colleague will be following in her footsteps and heading into the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! jungle next year.

While talking about her time on the show this year, Garraway, who finished in fourth place in the most recent series, revealed who she thinks will go on the ITV show in 2020.

In a special episode on Friday, her co-host Ben Shephard began: “We can’t talk about highlights without talking about you in the jungle Kate.”

She responded: “I haven’t watched a whole episode back but I have seen clips where I have woken up and not known where I was.”

Garraway continued: “So who is on it next year for Good Morning Britain?”

Peters replied: “I know too many secrets so they wouldn’t want me.”

She added: “I think it has got to be Laura hasn’t it? Remember how she was off Blackpool Tower?”

Tobin didn’t share the same joy at the prediction as she quickly protesting and saying: "No, no."

This comes after Garraway, 52, overslept last Thursday when she was due to appear on GMB.

She was replaced at the last minute by Ranvir Singh after she fell asleep “fully made up with clothes on and contacts in.”

Speaking to her colleagues Shephard and Singh via a video link, Garraway explained that she drifted off on Wednesday night “and the next thing I know it’s 20 minutes ago!”

“Even if I’ve overslept, it’s still only like 3.15 and I’ve done it now. I’m going to get fired.”

Singh revealed how she received a text message from Good Morning Britain’s editor in the early hours telling her: “We’ve got a problem - we can’t raise Kate Garraway.”

Shephard joked that Garraway had been changed by “one sniff of prime time” TV, while Singh went on to suggest that she could still participate in interview segments by adding “any interesting questions” for the guests on Facetime.
