Kate Garraway has GMB co-stars in stitches by praising her milkman for 'offering extras'

Kate Garraway had her co-stars in stitches on today's Good Morning Britain with an unintentional innuendo.

The 53-year-old presenter was full of praise for her "amazing" milkman, Mick, which was all perfectly acceptable.

But GMB co-host Ben Shepherd, Alex Beresford and Richard Arnold were shocked into laughter when Kate said Mick has been "offering her extras".

Her hilarious blunder came as Ben read out messages of appreciation from viewers who have been touched by kindness during the pandemic.

Taking the opportunity to express thanks herself, Kate interjected: "Mick, my milkman, who has just been amazing.

"He has absolutely just kept me going. He'll leave me a little note saying 'do you need anything extra other than the milk?'"

As he fellow GMB stars burst out laughing, a red-faced Kate quickly tried to backtrack as she flung her head back before covering her face in with her hands.

She clarified: "I mean, like bread, butter or orange juice, which he also supplies. He leaves a little smiley face."

Alex couldn't keep it together either (ITV)

Ben then cheekily asked: "Are you still answering the door in your dressing gown and fluffy slippers?

Kate laughed back: "...and a shower cap."

She added: "Mick, thank you. Shall we move on as I've got myself in trouble. Even I didn't see that one coming."
