Kate Garraway has spoken of the uncertainty of husband Derek Draper's future following coronavirus battle.
The 53-year-old first went into hospital in March last year and was later placed in a coma after testing positive for the virus.
Nearly a year on, Derek's battle is one of the longest in the UK and Kate has said she 'doesn't know how much he can recover.'
The Good Morning Britain host, speaking on the 5 Years Time podcast this week, said: "I think it's been a really tough year for everyone, hasn't it?
"Everyone is hoping 2021 will bring a little hope and relief.
"It's been really tough for us. Derek got really sick in the beginning of March..
"Even though we're hoping he can recover, it's taking a very, very long time. We don't know how much he can recover.
"So that's impacted on us obviously dramatically. So, it's been really difficult."
Kate's latest comments come after she candidly spoke about the difficulty she has faced being effectively a single mum to the couple's two children, Darcy, 14, and Billy, 11.

She said in an interview with Good Housekeeping last week: "I'm not sure I am coping! I honestly don’t know how single mums do it; it's just so hard.
"A lot of the time I find myself thinking, 'What would Derek say?' and 'What would Derek do?'
"I'm lucky that I'm being supported by lots of friends, too, and Ranvir [Singh from GMB] has been really helpful because she's been operating as a single mum since her son, Tushaan, was very little.
"I asked her, 'How do you do it?' and she said, 'You just have to accept that you can’t do everything.'"
Kate also credits her time on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! for "getting her through" Derek's lengthy coronavirus battle.
She said: "Forcing myself to do frightening things in the jungle was definitely good for my soul, and it made me believe I could do things I never dreamed possible.
"And flippin' heck! I've had to put that knowledge into practice, haven't I?" she said, adding: "So actually, maybe the jungle prepared me for getting through this."
