Ben Shephard is taking a break from Good Morning Britain, his co-star Kate Garraway confirmed today.
Kate, 53, returned to the ITV programme for the first time since April last month with friend and colleague Ben at her side.
However, she confirmed that it was Ben's last day and will stop presenting the programme to concentrate on filming Tipping Point again.
This morning, Kate told viewers: "This is Ben's last day!
"You're going having a bit of time off, aren't you?"
Ben explained that he would be filming Tipping Point, which has been on hiatus since the beginning of lockdown.
He responded: "We're about to hit peak Tipping Point! Tipping Point series 11 and we're all back in the studio, back socially distanced.
"I think I might do it with Andi [Peters] because he's doing Lorraine in a couple of weeks. But the set's had to change in order to get everybody up and running.
"I'm not going to be here but I'm going to be working, Kate Garraway! I know you think I've got my feet up and trotters up down in the south of France! "
Kate has not confirmed who will be replacing Ben on the ITV programme.
Ben has helped Kate return to work as she tries to adjust to life as husband Derek Draper remains ill.
Derek contracted coronavirus earlier this year but only woke up from his coma last month.
