Kate Garraway and Ranvir Singh conducted a tough interview with Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice Robert Buckland MP on Friday's Good Morning Britain.
In a row over the point of the amber list for travel, Ranvir told the minister: "It's a complete neglect of reality, it's hiding behind policy and hiding behind words, not truly looking in the face of the reality of what is going to happen in the next five days.
"But we will have to leave it there because we have asked you several times to explain the relevance of the amber list.
"People at home can decide for themselves if they are satisfied with your answers."

"Well if I could've got a word in edgeways I would have been able to answer - thanks," snapped the MP, before getting up and storming off while Ranvir and Kate were still speaking.
"He's off! He's off!" said a shocked Kate.
Ranvir had told the Minister: "The issue is of course is what is the point of an amber list, I really struggle to understand this, why not just have a green list and a red list? So people know go or don't go.

"What is the point of dangling this carrot of countries that might or might not be green in two weeks' time.
"You've got a holiday booked and you think 'well I'll just risk it otherwise I'll lose my money.'
"The holiday companies don't know whether to refund you or not because the Government says it's not illegal to go, so they think, 'well why should we lose out?'
"There's no real help here."

Kate interjected: "There's no clarity or commitment from the Government on that.
Ranvir continued: "You've literally called a situation where people are having to choose between losing money or breaking the law, and quite frankly it's outrageous."
Mr Buckland replied: "With respect, I really don't agree with that.
I think having an amber system is sensible because the rules there don't require people to go into a hotel, on a red system you've got to go into one of those hotels."

Kate interjected: "Just dance around this point as I think that's what's at the heart of people's concern.
"You know, they have a choice, they've re-booked and re-booked holidays, they're now not having the chance to have their money refunded because it's not illegal to go there."
"We've spoken to people where it's cost £900 or £1,000 or more to move it, in many cases, 270,000 people could be getting on a flight in the next five days, unsure whether to lose their livelihoods potentially when they come back, take risks on transport as they come back, or lose money from holidays.
"There can't be 270,000 necessary journeys!" she added while Mr Buckland answered.
She continued: That's still not answering the point. You've booked your holiday, you've paid your price before the pandemic; you' haven't done anything silly like book it during it.
"There's lots and lots of people who are in that position and lots and lots of people are not supported at home by their employers because they're working in an independent way and they have to make that choice.
"What is the clarity and what's the point of the amber list?" she demanded.
Mr Buckland said the amber list was a "middle tier" that allows for some essential travel but on the basis that you must self-isolate afterwards.
