Kate Garraway and Gemma Collins join army of celebs urging public to 'stay home'

Some of Britain's biggest stars have united to appeal to the nation to “stay at home” and help defeat Covid-19.

Famous faces from the worlds of entertainment and sport – which also includes Graham Norton, Angellica Bell, Greg Wallace and England international footballer Jesse Lingard – have teamed up in a 60 second film asking people to stay at home and protect the NHS.

The latest plea comes as the nation continues to battle with the killer virus.

Another 1,001 deaths were recorded in the UK on Wednesday. However deaths - along with cases and hospital admissions - are now falling.

Now the army of celebs have come together for the film, made as part of the newspaper industry’s “All Together” partnership with the UK Government, and will run across 650 national and regional news brands from Thursday, February 11.

TV and radio presenter Angellica Bell asks people to “please do stay at home if you can so we can be together soon”

I'm A Celebrity star Shane Richie explains how “we are all in this together, so please, please stay at home,” while TOWIE's Gemma Collins calls for everyone to “stay home, saves lives and protect our NHS.”

Some of the other stars to have volunteered their time for free include Joey Essex, Jordan North, Frank Bruno, Chris Evans, Strictly's Shirley Ballas, Harry Redknapp, Jesse Lingard and Kate Garraway.
