Kate Ferdinand shares 'cute' welcome home from her and Rio's children after reality check

Kate and Rio Ferdinand had a 'cute' welcome home surprise from their 'ratbags' after adults-only break.

The couple, who have been married for two years, jetted off to Dubai for some quality time together last week.

But now Kate, 30, and former footballer turned pundit Rio, 42, have returned home.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Kate shared a sweet card that her three stepchildren — Lorenz, 15, Tate, 13, and Tia, 10 — and baby son Cree, nine months, had made for them.

"A fabulous holiday but so happy to be back with the ratbags," former TOWIE star Kate shared before asking: "How cute is this?"

The picture showed a giant card which read: "Welcome home dad & Kate/mummy," before different sweets and chocolate bars were attached to spell out missing words.

It read: "I hope you had a great time out and you didn't burn so you don't flake. It was a rocky start, so we worked together to pick up!

"We've missed you to the galaxy and back so much. So our hearts almost burst because you are the diamonds in our lives.

"Love from your jelly babies."

The card then ends with each of their hand prints - plus paw prints to represent their dog, Ronnie.

And fans agreed with how cute it was.

"The absolute cutest," one said.

Another commented: "That just melts my heart."

"This is SO PRECIOUS," a third added.

A fourth replied: "Oh that’s just lovely!"

"Love they put Ronnies feet in here too," another said.

It comes after step mum Kate received a voice message on her phone which she couldn't hear because they were out so she asked them to type it instead.

"I said you look really nice Kate," they told her.

"Dad looks wrecked you look a bit tired as well Kate."

She shared the message, and the photos in question, on her Instagram with the words: "Can always count on the kids for a reality check."

"Liberties tho," commented former Manchester United footballer Rio with laughing-face emojis.
