Kate Ferdinand shares adorable snap of son Cree as they enjoy soft play with Rio

Kate Ferdinand shared an adorable snap of baby Cree enjoying a day out with her and husband Rio Ferdinand.

The former TOWIE star and the football pundit took their young son to a soft play centre on Thursday - capturing the tot's playtime on camera.

Mum-of-one Kate couldn't resist giving her Instagram fans a glimpse at their wholesome day out - sharing one snap with her 1.4 million followers.

In the sweet image, former Manchester United player Rio can be seen cradling his son, as they sit on some of the venue's apparatus.

"Daddy came to soft play with us before work today," Kate captioned the adorable snap.

The mum-of-one then went on to share a snippet of a video which sees her young son crawling across part of the soft play floor.

Despite little Cree looking like he was enjoying his time at the centre, Kate asked her followers if they had any other suggestions to entertain a 10 month old baby.

Kate and Rio welcomed Cree, their first child together, into the world last year - after tying the knot in 2019.

Rio is also a dad to Lorenz, 15, Tate, 13, and Tia, 10 from his marriage to his late wife, Rebecca Ellison - who tragically passed away from cancer in 2015, aged just 34.

Devoted step-mum Kate has spoken in the past about the challenges involved with parenting someone else's biological children.

The former reality TV star and Rio met at a mutual friend's BBQ and, with his children's permission, the former sports star wooed the blonde beauty.

In a lifestyle change, Kate said goodbye to her career in reality TV - ditching her agent and numerous brand deals in order to focus her energy on being the best step-mum she could be.

It clearly paid off, as Rio has often spoken about the love his three kids have for their 30-year-old step-mother.

Their lavish wedding even saw Lorenz and Tate walk Kate down the aisle, with Tia serving as her maid of honour.

Despite his kid's welcoming Kate into the family, Rio once admitted that some relatives found it a bit harder to accept his new partner at first.

Speaking on his documentary, Rio said: "Certain members of the family made it hard for Kate at the beginning, but she wasn't here trying to take anyone's role. A lot of people found it hard seeing me with a new woman."

Kate added to this, saying: "People would say, 'This is Rebecca's house and that's not how she would have done it.'

"And I would just think, "But I'm not Rebecca.' I feel like I failed a lot and I couldn't cook. It felt like I was being picked on by a lot of close people."

Rio's father, Julian, praised his daughter-in-law for her resilience when facing some tough times when first joining the family.

Talking in the same documentary, he said: "It was hard, not just for myself but for everyone. If she wasn't strong-minded she would have just walked away."
