Kate Ferdinand says she'd be 'mad' to have any more kids after welcoming son Cree

Kate Ferdinand, who just gave birth to her first child to Rio Ferdinand, revealed that she did not plan on having more kids as she did not need “any more tears” in her household.

The former TOWIE star does not intend on growing her family anytime soon.

Although she has recently given birth to her first child, Cree, the 29-year-old Essex celeb is also a stepmother to Rio’s three children.

The former football pro player, 42, tragically lost his first wife, Rebecca Ellison, and the mother of their children - Lorenz, 14, Tate, 12, and Tia, nine, to breast cancer in 2015.

Rio remarried to Kate in 2019, before announcing that they were expecting their first - and last? - child together in December 2020.

Kate, who has been candid on social media about motherhood, and has often shared her family life on Instagram, told the DailyMail that she thought four children was enough, as there was “already a lot going on and lots of crying”.

“It's a busy house. So I think I'd be a madwoman if I wanted anymore! Four is plenty for now,” she said.

The TV personality has shared regular updates of her private life as a mom and stepmother to her 1.4 million followers.

Determined on being a truthful influencer, as she explained the importance of honesty while uploading content for social media.

“I feel like a lot of the time, people aren’t open, especially when it comes to pregnancy or becoming a new mum,” she explained.

She added: “They always want to put up the best picture without showing the reality.”

Kate underwent an emergency caesarean section while in labour before welcoming her baby boy.

She is reportedly still recovering from the procedure following a six weeks period where she was not able to walk.

The Celeb-mom could not help but praising her supportive hubby, especially after enduring such a tough birth.

“Rio has been amazing with Cree, he's a wonderful dad, the kids love having the little one too!”

She revealed that her C-section was a distressing experience which she had not been prepared for: “There’s so many bits of advice I feel like I missed out on during pregnancy which people just don’t talk about, like having a C-section.

“It is a major surgery and because it was an emergency operation, it was traumatic and a lot to heal from.

“I am just trying to listen to my body and accept the changes.”

Now, visibly happy with her family set-up of four children and, of course, a reliable partner, Kate wanted to shut the image many people had of her: “I think people have this perception that I’m glamorous all the time because of what they see on Instagram,

“but a lot of the time I like to just wear comfortable clothes, no make-up and I’m rushing around looking after the kids.

“You don’t need to be glamorous all the time and that’s OK too.”
