Kate Ferdinand was so excited to get back to the gym she hilariously tumbled over during an exercise that didn't go to plan.

The 28-year-old former Towie star trains with ex professional rugby player Mel Deane, who was putting her through her paces.

The newly wed took to Instagram on Wednesday morning to share a funny clip when it didn't go to plan - which showed herself attempting to do an exercise but failing to do so and instead ends up falling over.

Rio's wife wrote: "When your so excited about getting back in the gym.... and, well, it doesn’t quite go to plan we are crying with laughter! What a morning  @meldeane12 ", as she made sure to tag her personal trainer in the encounter.

Kate's celebrity friends found her act amusing and left supportive comments on her video.

Ferne McCann, 29, who knows Kate from Towie, left a line of laughing faces, as did TV and radio presenter Fearne Cotton, 38, and reality TV star Danielle Lloyd.

Hunky Mel Deane, 44, then posted the video to his Instagram, writing: " @xkateferdinand  starts with an "I'm ready guy's!" Unaware of a sniper with the sight on her!" with hashtags #shelifts #shefalls for extra amusement.

Kate is enjoying life as a married woman after tying the knot with Rio Ferdinand at a lavish ceremomy in Marmaris, Turkey in September.

On approach to their first Christmas as newlyweds, the pair have hosted several luxury parties to celebrate the festive season.

The famous showbiz couple opted to and invited their friends to the foodie party at the Camberwell branch in London.

And just weeks before, they threw the which boasted a gorgeous cream, white and pink theme.

The main dining table was decorated with a blooming lovely floral display mainly made up of orchids, accompanied by huge mirrored vases for an added touch of glam.

It's certain Kate had a great night as she joked they "drank way TOO much" on  Instagram  with her one million eager followers.
