Kate Cassidy has shared a new tattoo in memory of her late boyfriend Liam Payne, keeping his memory close in a way that fans have called both touching and heartbreaking.
On 2 September, the influencer posted a video on Instagram showing herself getting new piercings and fresh ink. She chose a small wilted rose design, identical to the one Liam had on the left side of his neck. Instead of placing it in the same spot she had it done on the back of her right hand, just below her thumb.
The post came with no words, only a single wilted rose emoji to match the tattoo. The simplicity of it struck a chord with followers who knew instantly what it symbolised.
For those unfamiliar with the tragedy, the former One Direction star died aged just 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina on 16 October 2024. The shock of his passing still lingers among fans and those closest to him.
Cassidy has been open about her grief and often finds ways to keep Liam’s memory alive. Just days before this latest tattoo she marked what would have been his 32nd birthday on 29 August with a montage of throwback videos showing their happiest times together.
It isn’t the first time she has turned to tattoos to honour him. Two months after Liam’s death she revealed a matching set of angel wings inked across her right index and middle fingers. The design was a deliberate choice as she described him as her “angel” in a heartfelt tribute posted soon after the tragedy.
“Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely, I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam,” she wrote at the time, reported Billboard.
Her new tattoo adds another permanent reminder of her late partner, a symbol of loss but also of love. Fans flooded her comments with messages of support, noting how each tribute she shares feels both deeply personal and universal.
