Kate Beckinsale and her cat Clive are back with more quarantine entertainment

Kate Beckinsale has consistently kept her Instagram followers entertained during lockdown with her amusing antics - often involving her cat, Clive.

Their latest adventure? A night at the club. But since Beckinsale (and her whole crew of pets) has been social-distancing, the 46-year-old actress turned her house into a club, with Clive as her trusted companion for the dance party.

Posting a video of the pair on Instagram, Beckinsale and Clive accessorized with googly eye stickers as they bopped along to will.i.am and Britney Spears’ ‘Scream & Shout.’

Nightclubs are closed but we have googly eyes,” Beckinsale wrote in her caption. “Mostly it’s the same except less risk of illness and no one has wee’d all over the ladies loo seat,” she added of the perks of staying at home.

Earlier in quarantine, Beckinsale tried her hand at being a hairstylist (she has had her fair share of hair and makeup on set and red carpets, after all). Sharing a video of herself and Clive, the star got her hairdresser small talk down as she asked where her cat had gone on holiday and promoted other salon services such as “anal bleaching.”

Beckinsale filmed herself sitting on a kitchen island with her cat, dressed in loungewear and wielding a comb and scissors. The patient feline sat through the scene as she trimmed his mane, occasionally glancing up as she asked questions about his life.

“Did you go anywhere at all on your holidays? Oh,” Beckinsale continued, “That’s a silly question.”

Although her cat couldn’t respond, she continued as though he had and said, “Oh, a couple turns in the garden. See anything nice? Some snails.”

Beckinsale then expertly pivoted the conversation away from small talk and began heavily promoting her DIY beauty salon’s other treatments, which seemed to specialise in hair removal and bleaching.

She said, “We also offer waxing, threading, eyebrow grooming and anal bleaching - which, I hope you don’t mind me saying, I’d recommend for you. Just because I so often see you from the back. No? Well maybe next time.”

As she combed out Clive’s fur into a proper lion’s mane, she asked, “What do you think? What do you think? I think it looks great. I think you should leave it just like that.”

She finished by asking if Clive would like a finishing or shine spray of any kind (he didn’t) and talking about a potential shampoo.

Beckinsale has two cats, Persians Willow and Clive, who have become the stars of her lockdown videos.

In addition to nightclubbing and salon appointments, Clive has brought Instagram Coachella vibes with his flower crown, celebrated his 17th birthday and, very appropriately, played a little Cat Stevens for his fans.

Willow has made a few appearances, too, stockpiling bananas and potatoes, and helping Beckinsale with her cooking skills.
