Kate beams in red as she and William brush off Meghan and Harry Frogmore eviction drama

The Princess of Wales beamed in red as she and Prince William brushed off the drama around Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reported eviction from Frogmore Cottage.

At a St David’s Day parade, Kate and William were all smiles as they greeted wellwishers and spoke with troops while the future king gave a speech as Colonel of the Welsh Guards.

The royal pair paid a visit to the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards at Combermere Barracks, in Windsor.

It comes amid reports the Sussexes have been booted out their royal residence in the UK, to make way for Prince Andrew, who is being forced from his 30-bedroom grace and favour mansion on the Windsor Estate.

The disgraced royal has allegedly been given the keys to the smaller Windsor cottage, as King Charles begins the process of kicking his son out, and forcing his brother to downsize.

This follows the aftermath of Harry’s explosive memoir, Spare.

The move would leave Harry and Meghan without a place to stay in the UK, according to reports in The Sun.

She greeted a number of other beaming children, including one who showed off their impressive backflip to the princess.

This marked William’s first visit to the Welsh Guards since becoming Colonel of the Regiment and he sported smart military garb.

He saluted along with the soldiers present, as the band played the national anthem.

Then in his speech, he said he was “honoured and delighted” to be joining them but said he was “sorry” his father couldn’t be there to join in.

He added that King Charles, who had previously held the role since 1975, had treasured it and held it “so dear”.

He went on to pay homage to the battalion and their rich history.

The royal couple continued their duties as usual as it was reported the Sussexes were served an eviction notice around a month ago.

Harry had previously been critical of his father and suggested Charles made him “suffer” in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Speaking to her on her new show, Harry said: “My father used to say to me when I was younger … ‘Well, it was like that for me, so it’s going to be like that for you.

"That doesn’t make sense — just because you suffered, that doesn’t mean that your kids have to suffer, in fact quite the opposite."

In the same interview he described the Queen Consort as a “the villain” and “dangerous”.

Frogmore is now seemingly set to be home to disgraced Duke of York, Andrew, who stepped back from royal duties after sex abuse allegations and revelations over his friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Harry and Meghan were said to have been left "stunned" by Charles's decision to evict them from five-bedroom Frogmore Cottage, and two other royals have also been left "appalled", according to one royal biographer.

According to Omid Scobie, one of the authors behind the biography of Harry and Meghan, Finding Freedom, the King's decision came after Harry released his controversial memoir Spare in January.

He claims that the couple was told the property was needed for "someone else" and that relations between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the Firm was at "an all-time low".

And writing for Yahoo, he explained: "It's news, sources tell me, that has left Harry and Meghan stunned, and at least two members of the Royal Family 'appalled'."

He also adds that a source says Harry and Meghan have been given until the summer, after the Coronation, to remove their belongings after initially being told they would just be given two weeks.

And quotes a friend of the couple as saying: "It all feels very final and like a cruel punishment. It’s like [the family] want to cut them out of the picture for good."
