Manchester United are reportedly considering a shock move for Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel this summer.
The 33-year-old is the son of Red Devils legend Peter, who won five Premier League titles and a Champions League with the club during his eight seasons at Old Trafford in the 1990s.
And the Foxes shot-stopper would no doubt be tempted to follow in his father's footsteps with a move to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
Former Manchester City defender Mikkel Bischoff, who played with both Schmeichels during his time in the Premier League, thinks Schmeichel Jr. is good enough for the United No.1 jersey.
Speaking to Danish outlet Ekstra Bladet, he said: "United will certainly not be deterred by his (Schmeichel's) age of 33 years.
"The most successful goalkeepers at the club in recent years have been well into their thirties. He can easily play three or four good years there.
"Schmeichel is a huge United fan. He always has been and always will be, it will be the biggest dream come true if he were to succeed (in joining United).
"If Kasper gets the opportunity to play just ten games for United, then he jumps. It's simply so big for him. He is such a big fan that he will do anything to get to that club."
The speculation over a move comes following David de Gea's sketchy form for United this season, with some claiming the Spaniard may be past his best.
Dean Henderson, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Sheffield United, has been tipped by many to return to Old Trafford next season and usurp De Gea as first choice.
But others believe United need to invest in a new 'keeper, with the likes of Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak being mentioned as a possible option.
