Kashmir Road: Man fighting for life after horror stabbing in Charlton

A man in his 40s is fighting for life after a broad daylight stabbing in south London on Saturday morning.

Police and paramedics were scrambled to Charlton’s Kashmir Road shortly before 9am to respond to the knifing.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was rushed to hospital where his condition has been assessed as “critical but stable”, said a Met Police spokesperson.

No arrests have yet been made.

The spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances. There has been no arrest.

“Local people will see additional officers in the area.

“Any witnesses are asked to call police on 101, ref 2087/25MAY24.”
