VARANASI: With Union home minister Amit Shah listening intently in the audience, BJP UP election in-charge and Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that "Kashi is a laboratory of civilization and governance instead of being just a political field for the BJP."
Pradhan was interacting with the intelligentsia and business fraternity of Kashi at Nadesar on Monday evening ahead of PM Narendra Modi's visit to the city on March 4 to intensify the party campaign for the last phase of UP polls.
"Kashi will witness a growth of industry as the basic requirements for the same have been ensured in Varanasi and east UP region in the past seven years."
Mentioning that people of Kashi and east UP region will vote in the final and decisive phase on March 7, Pradhan appealed to the electorate to "vote like 2014 and 2017 Lok Sabha polls and 2017 assembly election to form a decision-making government again".
