Kash Patel in tantrum after Charlie Kirk death over FBI jacket, agents loaned him female one that fit, he still wasn’t happy

Kash Patel‘s antics in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination were an embarrassment to both himself and the FBI. He personally damaged the investigation when, mere hours after the shooting, he wrongly announced that a suspect had been taken into custody.

Utah officials immediately refuted that, confirming that the suspect was in fact still at large and that the manhunt must be allowed to proceed. After this bungle, Patel was said to have yelled profanities at serving FBI agents and attempted to take a lead role in the investigation.

The suspected shooter was eventually caught, though only after he confessed to his parents and arranged to turn himself in. Patel had absolutely nothing to do with his capture, leaving this as a particularly embarrassing episode for him.

The wrong jacket

But, in a new twist, things just got a lot dumber. In what’s said to be a new report on FBI activity in the aftermath of the assassination, it appears that top of Patel’s priority list was obtaining an FBI jacket:

The report states that Patel “refused to step from the plane” without an FBI raid jacket. FBI agents who were working on solving Kirk’s assassination were then redirected from the hunt to find a suitable FBI jacket that would fit Patel.

Unfortunately, while there were many large and extra-large jackets available, there were no smaller ones suitable for fit Patel’s diminutive frame. The eventual solution was to borrow one from a female FBI Special Agent, which actually fit him. But the tantrum didn’t stop there: Patel was apparently still unhappy that the sleeves didn’t have velcro patches on, so SWAT team members removed theirs and handed them to their upset boss.

Patel has already been mocked over this by fellow politicians, and is eager to clarify that he wasn’t looking for a woman’s jacket, but rather a “Youth Large”. Very dignified, Mr Director.

Honestly, if any senior American politician should be able to get away with wearing a woman’s jacket, tradition dictates that it should be the FBI Director. If it’s good enough for J. Edgar Hoover, it’s good enough for Kash Patel!
