Karren Brady shows off dramatic weight loss at Celebrity Apprentice Christmas Special launch

Karren Brady stepped out in London on Wednesday evening showcasing her recent fitness transformation as she attended the launch of The Celebrity Apprentice Christmas specials.

The 56-year-old business leader opted for a tailored grey two-piece as she posed for photographers at the central London event, which also drew AJ Odudu, Angela Scanlon, JB Gill, Sarah Hadland and Tom Skinner, who appear in the Christmas special.

Brady has spoken openly about her lifestyle overhaul, attributing the change not to weight-loss injections but to what she describes as “bloody hard work”.

She has previously said the shift was sparked by becoming a grandmother and wanting to feel stronger and healthier.

“I have been on a health kick, I became a grandma, and I wanted to be a fit, healthy grandma, so I started eating healthy and exercising,” the businesswoman told the Mail on Sunday.

She continued: “I haven't joined [the Ozempic Club] - bloody hard work. It is okay losing it, it is keeping it off.

“I have lost quite a bit - I don't know, though, as I don't weigh myself. I feel better for it. It is good because everything you put on fits.”

The West Ham vice-chairman has long acknowledged her sensitivity about her appearance on screen.

When she joined The Apprentice in 2010, she told RadioTimes she often worried she looked “posh and fat” beside Lord Sugar, adding: “I've spent 20 years battling my weight. Alan's so fit and slim, I look huge in comparison.”

She has since said that he has encouraged her through her more recent health kick.

“He is great, he is very fit. He and my husband cycle when we go away on holiday,” she share previously. “He is super fit himself, so if anyone is giving tips, it is him to me.

“We went around Italy, which was lovely, on Lord Sugar's boat. It was incredible. He is really lovely and has a wonderful family.”

In August, the presenter drew a flurry of surprised comments after posting a photo in a white dress that revealed a noticeably slimmer frame.

In the caption, she explained she had recently tried a course of Exion radio-frequency skin-tightening on her arms — a laser-based treatment designed to firm the skin.

Brady said in the post: “Exion uses radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound to naturally boost hyaluronic acid by up to 224 per cent, while stimulating collagen and elastin for smoother, firmer, more youthful-looking skin - all with no needles, no pain, and no downtime.”

Brady will be back on screens next month alongside Lord Sugar and fellow adviser Mike Soutar for two celebrity Christmas specials in aid of BBC Children in Need.

In the upcoming special, the celebrity candidates are split into two groups and sent to Lapland, the official home of Santa, to develop their own gingerbread biscuits, which are available for the public to buy now in aid of Children in Need.
