Karoline Leavitt promises a ‘vicious’ speech by Trump at White House Correspondents’ Dinner

  • It was moved to the Waldorf Astoria hotel after a gunman stormed the dinner at the Washington Hilton in April in an attempted assassination attempt against President Donald Trump.
  • One of the big questions about the event, which some are calling "White House Dinner 2.0," is what Trump will say in his speech, with some wondering if Trump will deliver the same "rather nasty" remarks against the press that he had planned for the original April dinner.
  • White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump “looks forward to finishing what he started" and promised an "entertaining and memorable evening."
  • “The President’s speech will be a combination of unifying yet vicious, and serious yet hilarious, all at the same time, if you can imagine that. One thing I can assure you, it will be entertaining,” she said.
