There will be a new name on the Wimbledon women’s trophy this year as Karolina Muchova and Linda Noskova lock horns in today’s final.
It will be an all-Czech encounter on Centre Court, with the ninth and tenth seeds going head-to-head for what would be a maiden Grand Slam title for both women.
Muchova, the world No10, arrived at the All England Club as a one-time major finalist, making the 2023 final at the French Open, where she was beaten by Iga Swiatek at Roland-Garros,
She had never gone beyond the quarter-finals at Wimbledon before, and suffered first-round defeats on her last four visits to the south London turf.
This time around, however, she has progressed all the way through to the final Saturday, beating Coco Gauff in the semi-finals, former world No1 Naomi Osaka in the last eight, and ex-champion Barbora Krejcikova in the fourth round.
As for Noskova, this is entirely new territory for the 21-year-old.
She beat Elise Mertens on Court No1 in the quarter-final, before overcoming Marta Kostyuk in the last four.
She was in good form on the grass already, having claimed the title at the Berlin Open, beating Jessica Pegula, the fourth seed at this year’s Champjonships, in the final.
What time is Karolina Muchova vs Linda Noskova?
The women’s final at Wimbledon takes place today, Saturday, July 11, 2026.
