BELAGAVI: A two-year-old toddler, a suspected victim of black magic who was undergoing treatment at Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) succumbed to burn injuries on Friday.
The child was found in a semi-conscious state in a sugarcane farm in Halyala village in Athani taluk on September 23. Initial investigation into the case pointed to the child being being subjected to black magic going by the pattern of the burn injuries inflicted by the use of camphor and oil.
