Karnataka on Sunday reported barely 64 new COVID-19 cases, of which 51 were from Bengaluru Urban. One person succumbed to the virus, taking the death toll to 40,050. Sixty-two people were discharged from hospitals.
With this, the total number of recoveries rose to 39,03,442. There are currently 1,777 active cases. While the positivity rate for the day was 0.24%, the case fatality rate was 1.56%. The total number of samples tested was 26,596, of which RT-PCR tests were conducted on 21,485. A total of 9,504 people were inoculated taking the vaccinated numbers to 10.34 crore.
