Karnataka reports 35 cases, one death

Karnataka reported less than 50 COVID-19 cases for the third day in a row. While 48 cases were reported on Monday and 42 on Tuesday, 35 cases were recorded on Wednesday. As many as 25 of the 35 new cases are from Bengaluru Urban alone.

With this, the total number of cases touched 39,45,436. The day’s test positivity rate in the State stood at 0.12%.

With one death, the State’s toll rose to 40,053. With this, the day’s Case Fatality Rate (CFR) touched 2.85%. This is apart from 42 deaths of patients due to non-COVID-19 reasons.

As many as 105 persons were discharged on Wednesday taking the total recoveries to 39,03,756.  Active cases reduced to 1,585.

As many as 27,577 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, including 20,975 RT-PCR tests. With this, the total number of tests rose to 6,55,54,100.
