Karnataka: Party held at mini Soudha under probe

MANDYA: The district administration has sought a report from sub-divisional assistant commissioner about a farewell party organised for a staff, who was recently transferred, at Mini Soudha in Pandavapura.

In the videos of the party which has now surfaced, flower petals are being showered on the transferred official amidst bursting of crackers.

“The public space is misused for private party. The state government must take strict action against the officers,” urged Shanbunahalli Suresh, leader of Karnataka Rajya Raita Sangha (KRRS).

Deputy commissioner S Aswati told TOI that she has asked Pandavapura sub-division assistant commissioner Shivanandapurti to submit a report about the misuse of public space for the party.
