BENGALURU: Karnataka on Wednesday reported 35 fresh Covid-19 cases, lowest in nearly two years.
The last time the state had reported lesser cases in a day was on May 14 when 24 infections were detected.
On Wednesday, Bengaluru alone accounted for 25 of the 35 cases. Zero Covid cases were reported from 21 districts on the day.
Besides, eight districts were completely Covid free with zero active cases.
The state reported one Covid death. A 69-year-old from Bengaluru Rural district had died on February 13 and his fatality was added to the state’s tally on Wednesday.
