Karnataka: ‘Devotees will be allowed at Chamundi during Ashada’

MYSURU: ST Somashekar, Mysuru district in-charge minister, said that this year devotees will be allowed to Sri Chamundeshwari temple atop Chamundi Hills during the month of Aashada. Devotees will be allowed on Fridays and during Amavasya. But devotees will have to produce vaccination certificates to take darshan of goddess Chamundeshwari, he said.

“We held a meeting and decided to allow devotees who have received both the doses of Covid vaccine. Those who are not fully vaccinated must produce RTPCR negative reports not older than 72 hours,” said the minister, epmphsising the need to observe Covid protocol.

The first ever digital yoga exhibition organised by the Union ministry of Ayush has been extended till June 26. Earlier it was organised for two days. Following good response from the public, it has been extended till Sunday. It is hosted as part of International Day of Yoga.
