MANGALURU: Personnel of the special police forest mobile squad of Puttur seized deer pelt and arrested an accused at Dharmasthala on Tuesday.
The accused is Hanumantha,35, from Belagavi.
The operation was conducted by a team led by police sub-inspector Janaki, based on a tip-off on the accused trying to sell the deer pelt.
The squad has seized the deer pelt and a mobile phone. A court in Belthangady has remanded the accused in judicial custody.
