MYSURU: Family members of a youngster who passed away at a private hospital in HD Kote assembled to protest the institution management on Wednesday holding them responsible for the death. Irate protesters pelted stones at the hospital in protest but later relented and took the body for last rites. Police said no complaint has been registered in this regard.
Sources claimed that the 22-year-old was hospitalized with complaints of stomach pain in the noon hours of Tuesday and their medical diagnosis revealed that he had appendicitis. A surgery was performed later in the day but the patient developed health issues an hour later. He was referred to a hospital in Mysuru but was brought dead.
